Jaipur: On Wednesday, officials from the transportation department announced that 100 primary trauma stabilization units were being established in community health centers around the state to provide better services to accident victims.These units are being built on areas where there have been no road accidents in the past.Officials said the aim is to stabilize an injured victim with initial care and then transfer to a higher center if needed.As part of a capacity building initiative, 100 community health centers around the state are being developed, where doctors and nursing staff will be certified on how to provide initial healthcare services to trauma victims.In 70 centres, infrastructure projects have already been completed, and the remaining work will be completed by July, according to Nidhi Singh, joint commissioner for road safety with the state transportation department.According to official reports, seven trauma units have been established in Ajmer district, four in Bhilwara and Nagaur each, two in Tonk, eight in Alwar, two in Dausa, three in Jaipur rural area, three in Jaipur rural district, three in Banswara, one in Pratapgarh, Rajasamand, three in Sikar, three in Kota, one in Jaisalmer, three in Sawai Madhopur Each year, the road safety cell aims to train 360 employees, including doctors and nurses, with 30 participants in each session.Equipment such as a trauma care crash cart, laryngoscope, ambu bag, pulmo aid (nebulizer), sterilizer, glucometer, Thomas splint, multi para monitor, patient stretcher trolleys, digital thermometers, ECG machine three channel, radiology high frequency x-ray machines, etc.
