UP Govt dismisses 26 Medical Officers for dereliction of duty

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak
announced on Monday that orders have been issued for the termination of 26
medical officers across various districts due to unauthorized absences and
negligence in their duties. This decisive action reflects the state
government’s commitment to ensuring accountability and maintaining high
standards of healthcare services.
The process for their dismissal has been started at
the government level, Pathak, who is also the Minister for Health, Medical and
Family Welfare, said in a series of online posts. Pathak said he has assigned the responsibility to the

the Directorate General of Health. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to
stop the salary increment of several medical officers and give them censure
entries, reports PTI.
